Lactation Support
Breastfeeding can be beautiful but it can also be hard. At Birthing Your Way, lactation support doesn’t end at birth, and it isn’t limited to families who delivered with us. If you’re feeding a baby and need support, you’re welcome here.
Our team includes an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), the highest level of training in breastfeeding and infant feeding support. Care is designed around you and your baby, because no two mothers or babies are the same and your care shouldn’t be either.
Who We Support
We care for families from all backgrounds and birth experiences, including:
• Families who gave birth with Birthing Your Way
• Families who delivered in the hospital
• Families who did not receive midwifery care with us
• First-time parents and experienced parents
Whether your baby is brand new or you’re facing feeding challenges weeks or months later, you don’t need to “qualify” for support. If you need help, we’re here.
Cost & Access
Lactation care is included at no cost for Birthing Your Way clients.
We also welcome families who delivered elsewhere, including in the hospital, with lactation visits available for $150 per one-hour appointment.
Every family deserves access to skilled, compassionate feeding support.
How We Help
Lactation visits are individualized and focused on what you need. Support commonly includes:
• Painful latch, nipple damage, or feeding discomfort
• Low milk supply, oversupply, or milk transfer concerns
• Pumping, bottle feeding, and returning to work
• Tongue tie or oral function concerns
• Supplementation and combo feeding
• Breastfeeding after cesarean or a difficult birth
Let’s help you find a feeding plan that feels right for your family.
Our Approach
We believe feeding support should feel calm, respectful, and free of judgment. Care is centered on your goals whether that’s exclusive breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, or simply finding what works best for your family.
You’ll receive clear guidance and hands-on support from an IBCLC, with steady reassurance along the way.
